A modular energy-powered gateway merging nature, technology, and entertainment, redefining public space at one of the world’s biggest music festivals.
At Rock in Rio, Greenfluidics proposed a bold vision for the future of urban festivals, a dynamic installation where innovation meets cultural expression. The project’s centerpiece is a pair of sculptural, hourglass-shaped entrances built with our signature Solar Biopanels. By day, they generate clean energy. By night, they glow with bioluminescent life, blurring the line between sustainability and spectacle.
These intelligent systems power on-site mobile charging hubs while acting as immersive landmarks for festival-goers. As they walk through the glowing gateway, attendees experience a literal and symbolic passage into a future where energy, architecture, and nature are one.
Solar Hourglass Gateway
Designed in collaboration with Neoenergia, it positions Rock in Rio as the first global music festival illuminated by biotech façades.
Each unit, built with six intelligent biopanels—functions as both power generator and social magnet. The integrated Eco-Lounge welcomes attendees with shaded seating, natural aesthetics, and built-in solar-powered charging towers.
More than a structure, the installation is a platform for environmental dialogue and brand leadership. From data monitoring to real-time impact, it demonstrates how biotechnology can elevate public spaces while promoting SDG-aligned action in energy, community, and entertainment.
